14 day full refund policy for the item purchase price (which does not include actual shipping costs if the item was shipped before being refused, canceled or returned), for unopened items and items in new condition returned in original packaging. An 8% restocking fee is charged at the sellers discretion based on item condition for returned or canceled items that are not defective or are a result of the sellers mistake. For products/items bought with "free shipping" the actual shipping charges made to send the product to the buyers address will still apply and are not eligible for refund.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
If you receive an item different than what was described, or that is clearly in worse condition than indicated, you must contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org 801-999-0709 directly to report the defect or damage within 14 days of receiving the shipment. You should be able to reach an amicable agreement with one another. If necessary, you can return your item to the seller for a refund. To be eligible for a refund, you must return your item in the same condition you received it, and the return must be postmarked within 30 days of shipment. Within the 14 day period you must notify us in writing or email of your return. When writing or emailing to arrange for its return, please be as descriptive as possible regarding the problem with the merchandise.
Shipping and handling charges for returning items are borne by the buyer. Note that refusing a shipment depending on the carrier still incurs shipping charges both to and from your address which are not refundable. To ensure the safe return of the merchandise, items valued at over $75 must be returned to the seller with a traceable shipping service. If the order is valued at $100 or more, insure the shipment for the value of the merchandise and ship your return with a signature shipping service.
Sending the return via a trackable shipping method protects you in the event we don't receive your returned item.
getpreparedstuff.com strives to maintain a marketplace that is fair to both buyers and sellers. If you do not use a traceable method to return your item to us it will be difficult to refund in the case of loss.
Note that Delivery Confirmation through the U.S. Postal Service does not include a signature service by default and must be added as an option. You can request signature confirmation and insurance for USPS shipments.

Refunds are typically processed within one week but can take 30 days or longer depending on the circumstances surrounding the refund to be cleared up. If a credit card was used via Paypal or Google checkout the funds will be deposited back in your respective accounts.
